For some years four Buckinghamshire charities have been providing support services to very many voluntary and community organisations that work in the County
In meetings held last week the members of Vale Volunteers, Voluntary Action (Chiltern & South Bucks), The Priory Centre and Buckinghamshire Community Action approved their merger, thus creating Community Impact Bucks on 1st April 2010.
The merger builds on a period of increasingly successful joint working and collaboration, and presents a significant opportunity to develop the priorities, projects and activities of each organisation. The recommendation of the trustees to merge was taken after considerable discussions on the implications, advantages and disadvantages over the last 15 months. The trustees of all of the organisations agree that the merger is the best way to achieve three key outcomes.
